Carpool Lists Available August 12
Student carpooling is highly recommended as Bellarmine has limited parking on campus. We have eight different carpool lists, which break out where students live via their zip codes. If you would like a list of students living within your zip code to potentially set-up a carpool, contact Kristine Zelazny starting August 12th and she will email you the appropriate list. Please indicate your zip code or address when requesting the list. You can also pick up a hard copy of the list(s) starting on August 13 in the Student Service Center in the Connelly Campus Center.

Class of 2023 Breakaway 
August 8th, 9th, or 10th:  Class of 2023 - Breakaway. 
Breakaway is an opportunity for incoming freshmen to begin their 4-year journey of friendship by meeting new people and having common experiences in the beautiful setting of Camp Gallagher. The day is comprised of fun, food, and building friendships.

Important iPad Information
If you haven't picked up your iPad and Bellarmine credentials yet, please come to the Technology Support Center located in the Admin Building! Online iPad Orientation closes on August 12. If you did not purchase a device through Bellarmine, or have not received your student's Bellarmine credentials, please reach out to Chelsey Rosario at RosarioC@Bellarmineprep.org.

Sports Physical Form
All athletes must have a valid pre-participation physical evaluation report form on file in order to participate in Bellarmine athletics. If you already have a physical form on file at Bellarmine, you must update it every two years from the date of the physical for it to be valid. Please complete the physical/student health report form and mail or deliver it to Vice Principal of Student Life Kevin Meines in the main office no later than one week prior to each season's first day of tryouts  Please direct questions regarding physicals to Kevin Meines at meinesk@bellarmineprep.org.
Summer Assignments
All students have summer reading for English classes and a summer assignment for math. Other advanced and AP courses also have required summer work. Please summer assignments located here.
Bellarmine Reads
The Bellarmine English Department requests that during the summer months our students stay active as readers. In an effort to encourage our whole school community to engage together in the joy of reading, reflection, and discussion, we are asking all students, grades 9-12, to read one new book each summer. The book title will change from year to year, so students will have the opportunity to read and discuss four different books with the entire school community during their four years at Bellarmine.

Bellarmine Parent Partnership is your commitment to join with others in the community to ensure the best possible experience for your child during their time at Bellarmine. This year, contributed funds comprise nearly 8% of our operating budget directed primarily to sustaining Student tuition assistance, which now benefits 340 students or 40% of Bellarmine families.

Lion Link Crew
Bellarmine participates in the nationwide Link Crew Program, an organization whose sole purpose is to help freshmen feel more comfortable as well as help them transition successfully during their first year of high school.

Time to Celebrate our Seniors in the 2019-2020 Yearbook!
It's been a long and, at times, winding road, but you've finally reached senior year! It's truly a special and exciting time for your seniors and your families. In order to make sure that we capture all of the "magic", please note the following very important yearbook deadlines.

GRAD ADS: Photos and copy are due November 14. Please send all information to oloughlinj@bellarmineprep.org.

2019 Bellarmine Drama - Fall Play Auditions, Crew Information
Audition Information:Auditions and callbacks for the fall play will take place after school on September 3, September 4, and September 5. More information about auditions and expectations for drama participation will be posted on Bellarmine's Drama website, www.bellarmineprep.org/drama-theater/.

Crew Information: For students interested in production, design, and crew for the fall play, please attend the first rehearsal after school on September 9th from 3:00pm-5:00pm. Full calendars will be available at the first rehearsal. Crew opportunities include stage management, set design and construction, costumes, properties, lighting, audio, producing/marketing, and dramaturgy. More information about what responsibilities these positions include will be shared at the first rehearsal. All are welcome to participate in crew for Bellarmine's Drama program.

Student Picture Day
Picture Day is an important day for all students, as it represents the close of summer and the beginning of a new school year. This yea's picture day is scheduled for August 22. All students are encouraged to sit for their pictures at the designated times  Picture make-up day is currently scheduled for August 28 between 8-10 a.m, both lunches, and after school; please check the Bellarmine calendar for confirmation. Please note picture day is Thursday, August 22, not August 30. Picture make-up day is Wednesday, August 28.

Senior parents please note, as of August 2019, all student portraits for the yearbook will be taken by LifeTouch in the Connelly Campus Center on Thursday, August 22, 2019. Outside professional or personal photos will no longer be accepted for the yearbook, but can be used for Senior Grad Ads. Yearbook questions, please contact Mindi Morin
Parking Permits
Parking permits purchased in June will be available in the Campus Center on August 22nd between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. If parking spots remain unsold, students may purchase them at the parking permit table.  Students must present a current Washington State driver’s license with the completed parking permit application. Locker Assignment
Locker assignments will be posted in the hallway of the Administration building and students can access their locker on August 22nd. We strongly encourage students to place a lock on their locker if they intend on leaving any valuables. For more information regarding locker assignments, Click Here. Schedule Change Information
Students have received their preliminary academic schedules and they will receive their final schedules on the first day of school in Ignatian Formation class. If there is a required academic change, counselors will be available on August 22, 2019 during Picture Day.
ASB Cards
ASB cards will be issued on August 22nd. If not present on the 22nd, students will need to see Cari Harrison, Dean of Students, to attend an event requiring an ASB card. Students must have a picture taken to receive an ASB card. Refer to picture retake day if you are unable to have your picture taken on the 22nd.
All students will receive a yearbook unless they opt out. Contact Jennifer O'Loughlin at 253-879-9783 or oloughlinj@bellarmineprep.org if you chose to not purchase a yearbook.
Class of 2023 Orientation
Freshmen Orientation will take place on the first day of school, Wednesday, Aug. 28th, from 8-10 a.m.
Transfer Student Orientation
Information about Transfer Student Orientation will be emailed early August. 
International Student Orientation
The International Student Orientation will be August 21st and 22nd from 9 a.m.-3:00 p.m. on both days. For more information contact Kristin Torgerson.
School Lunch Program
Detailed information about MealTime, our school lunch program, will be sent out mid-August.

Morning Transportation Program
Bellarmine has a morning shuttle from Bonney Lake/Lake Tapps, Federal Way, Gig Harbor, Lacey/Olympia, and Puyallup areas to Bellarmine. We encourage all interested families to review the program, contract, and rider expectations. The program is dependent on a minimum ridership of five students per route and a maximum of 14. In light of insufficient parking on campus, increased traffic concerns, and individual family needs, don’t hesitate to take advantage of this unique opportunity. The Olympia route is currently full. Please contact Kristine Zelazny to be placed on the wait list for these routes.

New Parent Meeting

On Wednesday, September 11 parents of both Freshman and transfer students are invited to attend a New Parent Orientation at 6:15 p.m. in the Loyola Center Booster Gym. School Life Administrators will share information about communication between the school and parents, the overall campus culture, and introduce important programs and activities. Ignatian Formation advisors will be on hand to meet new parents at 6:45 p.m. and then escort parents to the Ignatian Formation classroom to begin the Back-to-School portion of the evening. Advisors will distribute student schedules and discuss their role as advisors at that time.
