2020 Graduation Activities

Awards Assembly

Parents of student honorees are invited and encouraged to attend the annual Awards Assembly on Wednesday, May 27 in the St. Ignatius Loyola Center from 9:30-10:50 a.m. The assembly is an opportunity for the student body and parents to honor students who earned special recognition.

Last Day of Classes for Seniors

The last day of classes for seniors is Tuesday, June 2.

Senior Exams and Graduation Practice

Senior exams are scheduled on Wednesday, June 3 and Thursday, June 4. During Community Period on Tuesday, June 2, Graduation Practice will be held in the St. Ignatius Loyola Center. All seniors are expected to attend the practice.

Senior Mass and Breakfast

Senior Mass at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, June 5 in the St. Ignatius Loyola Center is a service for seniors and their families and friends. All are welcome. Following Mass will be a breakfast hosted by the Principal's Office and Philomathea. For the breakfast, each senior may invite two adult guests. To register for the breakfast please click here. Graduation Announcements

Graduation announcement orders will be distributed by a Josten's representative to seniors on March 25 during both lunches in the Connelly Campus Center.

Cap and Gown Distribution

Caps and gowns will be distributed by a Josten's representative to seniors on May 14, during both lunches in the Campus Center. Please note: Students MUST have their Graduation Survey completed in order to pick up their cap and gown that day. The Graduation Survey will be sent via email on May 1st and we ask that you have it complete by Wednesday, May 6. Please contact Tawanna Wilson in the Counseling Office for further questions. 


Commencement will be held at the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 7. No tickets are required for graduation, but we are close to capacity in the Exhibition Hall and encourage graduates to invite only family. Families are only allowed to save eight seats once they are in the hall. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. Seniors must be at the Exhibition Hall by 10:15 a.m. Parking is $15 per car. Disabled parking is available right in front of the Exhibition Hall for those who hold state-disabled parking permits. Families who need reserved seating for guests in wheelchairs should contact Tawanna Wilson in the Counseling Office by May 29. Commencement will conclude at approximately 1:00 p.m.
