2018 Graduation Activities
Parents of student honorees are invited and encouraged to attend the annual Awards Assembly on Friday, May 18th in the St. Ignatius Loyola Center from 9:30-10:50 a.m. The assembly is an opportunity for the student body and parents to honor students who earned special recognition.
The Senior/Parent Dinner, which is the kickoff for graduation activities, will be held Sunday, May 20th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on the Bellarmine campus. This dinner is limited to senior students and their parents/guardians. It is a fun evening with great food and a senior DVD. An invitation and information will be mailed to parents/guardians in April.
Last Day of Classes for Seniors
The last day of classes for seniors is Friday, May 25th.
Senior Exams and Graduation Practice
Senior exams are scheduled on Tuesday, May 29th and Wednesday, May 30th. During Community Period on Tuesday, May 22nd, Graduation Practice will be held in the St. Ignatius Loyola Center. All seniors are expected to attend the practice.
Senior Mass and Breakfast
Senior Mass at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 31st in the St. Ignatius Loyola Center is a service for seniors and their families and friends. All are welcome. Following Mass will be a senior continental breakfast sponsored by Philomathea. For the continental breakfast, each senior may invite two adult guests.
Graduation announcement orders will be distributed by a Josten's representative to seniors on March 20th during both lunches in the Connelly Campus Center.
Cap and Gown Distribution
Caps and gowns will be distributed by a Josten's representative to seniors on May 11th, during both lunches in the Campus Center. Please note: Students MUST have their Graduation Survey completed in order to pick up their cap and gown that day. The Graduation Survey will be sent via email on May 1st and we ask that you have it complete by Friday, May 4th. Please contact Marie Krueger in the Counseling Office for further questions.
Commencement will be held at the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 3rd. No tickets are required for graduation, but we are close to capacity in the Exhibition Hall and encourage graduates to invite only family. Families are only allowed to save eight seats once they are in the hall. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. Seniors must be at the Exhibition Hall by 10:15 a.m. Parking is $15 per car. Disabled parking is available right in front of the Exhibition Hall for those who hold state-disabled parking permits. Families who need reserved seating for guests in wheelchairs should contact Marie Krueger in the Counseling Office by May 30th. Commencement will conclude at approximately 1:00 p.m.
