Admissions Overview

Open House: The work of admissions begins in the fall with our Open House. We encourage all families interested in becoming part of our Bellarmine community to attend an Open House. This is an excellent opportunity to meet students and faculty, hear presentations, tour our campus and gain valuable information about our school. Both students and parents are encouraged to attend one of our Open Houses.

Online Application

Application to Bellarmine is an online process. The first step is to set up an online account. You will need an account to submit an application.

If you are applying for financial aid do not wait until you receive your award letter to apply for admission to the school. You will complete and submit your application and proceed with the application process. Notification from Admissions and financial aid will be received at about the same time.

Through your online account you will be able to check your application status as you move through the admissions process. This is a great way to keep on top of the documents you will be submitting to complete your application.

We want to be in touch with you throughout the admissions process and will use your account to communicate admissions news and notify you of admission events and appointments.

Ninth Grade Applicants: All applicants to the ninth grade are required to take the Explore Exam. Please register through your online admissions account for the Explore exam which is given in the Administration Building. The test fee is $30.00. Test takers should arrive 15 minutes early and bring a calculator and a #2 pencil. See Explore Exam link for dates and times.

It is important to note that if you wish to be in the initial applicant pool, you must take the exam and submit a complete application by the January 16th deadline. Test results will be mailed out in February with the status letters--acceptance or wait.

An informational meeting for parents will be held in the theater on exam days. This short meeting will explain the process for admissions and financial aid. Parents are encouraged to attend.

Transfer Applicants: Applicants for transfer into grades 10 and 11 do not need to meet the January 16th application deadline. We do, however, recommend that you turn in all paperwork by the end of February. Transfer applicants do not need to take the ACT Explore exam. Your current school should send us your most recent standardized test scores along with grades from the last two years. Applicants could be informed of an opening as early as March or as late as the first day of school in late August, depending on space availability. Create an online account to apply.

Bellarmine does not accept senior level students unless there is a family transfer into this geographical area or a petition of unique circumstances.

Our Visitation Program gives 8th grade students an opportunity to visit campus and experience the classroom at Bellarmine. Reservations are required for these visits and you can register through your online account.
