BUILDING BRIDGES HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL WINTER OR SPRING OF 2013.
November, 2012
Re: Building Bridges Program - November 21, 2012
Dear Bellarmine Parents and Students:
Bellarmine will be offering a one-day program called “Building Bridges” on November 21, 2012, from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. The day is designed to build stronger relationships and a healthier school climate.
Student Overview
Have you ever felt alone at school even while surrounded by people? Have you ever been intimidated by your peers? Have you ever wanted to make new friends, but haven't been sure how to break out of your current group of friends? Have you ever been frustrated by cliques and bullies at your school? If yes to any of those questions, we would love for you to apply to “Building Bridges.” Every student who has ever participated in this event marks it as one of the top days of their school year and we are excited to offer it at Bellarmine.
“Go the Distance”
Our theme this year, “Go the Distance,” reminds us of the importance of working through our challenges so we can lead others through adversity. It is important for us to spend this day together focusing on building bridges and a stronger community. All students in grades 9, 10, 11 & 12 are encouraged to apply. Please note that this optional student program is planned on a scheduled day off of school and will be held on our campus.
November 16 Application Deadline
Please see the application here that is due no later than November 16. The application provides us with the necessary information to register students for the program; all applicants will be accepted provided they are currently attending Bellarmine. If you do come, come ready to share, learn and listen and ultimately come ready to be a force of positive change on our campus.
More Information or Questions
Students who apply will receive information regarding what to bring, where to go etc. on November 16 in their Community Period. For more information on the “Building Bridges” program, visit www.buildingbridgestogether.org. If you have questions or would like to assist with the day, please contact either of us via email.
Thank you.
