Bellarmine Preparatory School

Students Walk for Community Caring Campaign & Raise Nearly $137,000

All Bellarmine students participated in a school-wide walk around campus on May 1, showing their willingness to walk in the shoes of their brothers and sisters. The walk was the culmination of our spring student letter-writing campaign fundraiser, Community Caring, where students demonstrated their solidarity in helping to raise the much needed funds for Bellarmine.

The walk took place throughout the campus and a variety of booths, sponsored by members of the Bellarmine and greater community, provided information on how to get involved, handed out fun giveaways, as well as showed their support in our efforts. After the walk, students, faculty, and staff met in the Student Commons for snacks, music, and entertainment.

A special thank you to our students, faculty and staff, parent volunteers, local organizations (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Boys & Girls Club, Citizens for a Healthy Bay, Habitat for Humanity, Humane Society, Youth United, 4US), Bellarmine Business Partners, and all of our donors who participated in this year’s Community Caring Campaign.

As of May 1, Community Caring has raised almost $137,000 to support The Bellarmine Fund that supports areas such as athletics, classroom technology, special academic programs, retreats, community service and spiritual programs, and tuition assistance -- areas and programs that impact and benefit each and every student.
