Community Caring, our spring student fundraiser, is a stand-alone activity and part of a greater effort to raise funds for Bellarmine.
The Community Caring Campaign teaches students the importance of philanthropy, as well as service to others. Through the campaign, we ask students to take action in helping support their school through a letter-writing campaign.
Believe in Bellarmine
Our theme for this year is “Believe in Bellarmine.” “Believe in Bellarmine” is a perfect example of our mission in action. It invites all of our students to believe in this community, and help make that belief a reality for Bellarmine students by raising much-need funds for Bellarmine's financial aid program.
February: Eight Names & Addresses
In the beginning of February, each student will be asked to bring to school eight names and addresses. Extended family members, family friends, and acquaintances are typically names on the list. On February 25th, in addition to bringing in eight valid names and mailing addresses, every student will also handwrite a brief, polite personal request for support on a pre-printed campaign form letter as an assignment in the Community Period class. Suggested wording will be provided, but students are encouraged to use their own words.
Need Your Support for Success
This fundraiser has been extremely successful in the past, raising over $150,000 annually for the school. Our goal this year is to exceed our financial need of $165,000 for this campaign -- and we need your support to make this possible!
April Celebration
In April, we will have a school-wide Community Caring Celebration which will be the culminating event in which students, faculty, staff, and other members within the Bellarmine community come together to celebrate their efforts in the Community Caring Campaign. Results from the March letter-writing campaign will be shared at this time.
