Mission & History

The 2009-10 tuition is $11,300 (including the 10% down payment) and is determined by the Bellarmine Board of Directors in February of each year. In the last fiscal year, tuition and fees generated only 75% of the operating budget of the school; the support of parents, alumni, and the greater Tacoma community made up the cost difference of more than $3,200 for every member of the Bellarmine student body.
Students purchase their own textbooks each year through VarsityBooks. Books can be sold back and bought used, at the end of the school year. Material fees are charged in some classes (science, art, etc.). Special events such as retreats and testing also have material fees. Students usually purchase a yearbook and ASB card. Approximate additional costs for a student yearly will range between $300-500 depending on course selection and participation in special events.
Visit Tuition Billing and Payment Policies for more information on the Tuition Payment Program.
