Advanced Placement Exams
Advanced Placement (AP) Exams are scheduled for May 6-16 for all students currently enrolled in an AP class. The exams will be given in the Booster Gym. Each AP student has met with Erik Michels, Testing Coordinator, to receive testing instructions. Students must be in the room a minimum of 15 minutes prior to the start of the exam to do preliminary work. Actual testing begins promptly at the listed times below. The exam administrators cannot wait for latecomers.
All students currently enrolled in an AP class will be billed $89 per exam. Students receiving financial aid should contact AP Coordinator Erik Michels immediately about potential reduction in the cost of the exams. The charge for these exams will show up on your April statement. AP Exams will take place from May 6-10 and from May 13-16.
Students who can't test on the exam day can arrange for late testing with the AP Coordinator. An additional $40 late fee will be assessed. Make-up exams will occur May 22-24.
Students or parents with questions about the AP Exams should contact Testing Coordinator/Counselor Erik Michels, 253-879-9799.
Exam Procedures
Advanced Placement Exams begin the week of May 6, 2013. Tests are scheduled to start at 8:00 a.m. or 12:00 p.m. The following guidelines for attendance apply to all students scheduled to take any AP Exams:
Students are responsible for class work they miss. Students may ask their individual teachers (4th or 7th periods for morning exams, 1st and 2nd periods, or 5th and CP for afternoon exams) for excused absence on the day of their exam, although this is not generally recommended.
Excused absence is at individual teacher discretion and students should complete the appropriate absence form prior to the exam day. Students not completing the forms and having them signed will be in class or considered unexcused for any absence.
