Bellarmine Collecting Blankets, Throws, Sleeping Bags, Quilts
"Operation Keep 'Em Warm and Fed" is organizing a blanket drive again this year for homeless families in the area. We need blankets, throws, sleeping bags, quilts -- new, gently used, or extremely well-used! Old blankets are fine. . . anything that can help keep away the cold outside at night.
Our students will work in conjunction with members of the Tacoma Catholic Worker community to distribute these blankets directly to the homeless this winter. We'd love your help. Ask neighbors and friends to donate old blankets for this incredibly worthy cause.
Blanket Drive Through Dec. 1Donations of blankets, sleeping bags, quilts, etc. should be brought to Mrs. Julie Campbell in Room A7, or may be dropped off in the Student Services Office. Our blanket drive will end December 1.
Please note that there is an ongoing need for blankets throughout the winter months, so people can continue to drop off blankets in the main office throughout the winter and Bellarmine will see that they get to the homeless. Thank you so much for your help!
