Phoenix Housing:
A Great Service Activity to Do with Your Family or Friends
Phoenix Housing Network is an interfaith transitional housing program of Catholic Community Services organized to assist families with children to obtain financial stability, independence and permanent housing.
Our Mission
Phoenix Housing Network empowers homeless and at-risk families to achieve and maintain permanent housing in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. We collaborate with the larger faith community, as well as community providers, to help families gain skills and overcome barriers to their self-sufficiency.
Help Us Help Families - March 9 - 23
Associated with Catholic Community Services, Phoenix Housing helps homeless families get the job skills, training, parenting skills, and budgeting to get back on their feet in affordable housing. Bellarmine can have up to five families.
You can help us at Bellarmine in one of the following ways:
Bring a Meal
Breakfast: Breakfast is needed on Sunday, March 10 and Saturday, March 16, Sun Mar 17, Sat Mar 23.
Dinner: Dinner is needed every evening from March 9 through March 23. Arrive to greet families at 5:30 p.m., serve dinner by 6:30 p.m., play games and hang out with families until 8:30 p.m. when overnight host arrives. Combine with another family to host the evening. Bring items hot and ready to go for your group/family and our Phoenix guests.
Stay Overnight
Stay overnight any night from Saturday March 9 through Friday, March 22 from 8:15 p.m. to wake-up time at 6:00 a.m; leaving for home by 7:00 a.m. This is a great way to give. A cot will be available for you when you bring your own sleeping bag, pillow, and alarm and you will sleep in the comfort of the Weber Hall.
Supply Donations Needed
Donate any of the supplies below for Phoenix Housing. Items can be dropped off at Weber Hall in the Community Service Office. We very much appreciate your help with any of these.
Washing Sheets or Blankets
We also need help with washing sheets or blankets after the week is over. Please let us know if you can help.
