Lady Lions Take Narrows League Title!

Congratulations to the girls golf team who, for the 11th consecutive year, are the Narrows League champions with a 10-0 record this year. Check out their victory photo here.

Meet the Head Coach

Mark Bender, who coached the girls golf team from 2000-2003, took over again in 2008 as head coach.

Coaching girls golf and success have been in the Bender family for years. Bender took the reigns back in 2008 from his oldest daughter, Hailey Dawson, who coached the girls from 2004-2007. Under Dawson's leadership, the girls earned four Narrows League titles and two state championships (2004 & 2005). Under Coach Bender, the team earned five league titles and 1st (2003), 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place finishes at the state tournament.

A longtime supporter of Bellarmine athletics and an avid golfer, Mark owns and operates Ink, Inc., a successful screenprint and embroidery company in Tacoma. He and his wife, Terry A'72, have three children -- all Bellarmine graduates -- Hailey B'98, Katie B'03, and Bryan B'04.
