Acceptable Use Policy

The primary purpose of technology at Bellarmine Preparatory School is to enhance and support the school’s educational programs. Information systems used at Bellarmine Preparatory School must be used in a manner that is consistent with the school’s educational purposes and environment. The use of Bellarmine Preparatory School’s technology is a privilege, not a right. The policy applies to the operation of any information and communication device at Bellarmine Preparatory, regardless of who owns it. Click here for the complete Acceptable Use Policy.

Attendance Policy

Every day at Bellarmine is an important academic time for your student. Connelly Campus Center Updates

Campus Center "Frequently Asked Questions"
With the opening of the new Connelly Campus Center, we know that there will be many questions regarding policies, procedures, and services in the new facility. We hope this FAQ will answer many of those questions. We also want everyone to understand that while the building will be open for the start of the school year, like any new building, there will still be some work being done to finalize the construction process. Click here for the FAQ page.

Food Service in Campus Center
Bellarmine has partnered with X Group Restaurants and Catering for food service within the Campus Center. X Group is a locally owned business, with strong connections to Bellarmine.

Your son or daughter has no doubt seen a dramatic change in the food offerings at lunch, and we wanted to point out a few key details regarding the new services.
  • Variety of price levels and offerings - The Prep Kitchen offers varying levels of made from scratch food at different portion and price points. Students have the opportunity to bundle items or choose larger ones if they want. "Kinda Hungry/Really Hungry"
  • This is still a work in process - Food service has been open for four days and the X Group has already been making adjustments to pricing and offerings. They had a limited amount of time to get prepared and are adjusting to what's selling and what isn't. The portfolio of menu items available will develop over the next month or so.
  • Availability and convenience - As the Lion's Den opens, so will the opportunity for students to eat healthy and good meals before and after school providing them safe "home away from home" options.

Community Period Information

Community Period is a program designed to meet our students’ needs in advisory, formative, and functional capacities. The goals of CP are as follows: Faith formation (Campus Ministry and CP formation activities); Leadership development (ASB, service and formation activities); Academic advising

Usually CP activities will also allow for some “library quiet” study time. The acceptable use policy for technology applies in CP as well as the classroom. iPad use is for educational purposes.

A Grade level “curriculum” has been designed to focus on a specific theme:
The theme for freshmen is "My Place in This World."

New this year for Freshman is the "Freshman Seminar." The first seven CP classes of the school year will focus on what it means to be a student at a college preparatory Catholic, Jesuit high school. Lessons include introduction to formational and academic opportunities for students.

For more information contact Kevin Meines at meinesk@bellarmineprep.org.
