PRIDE 2017

It has been said that many hands make for light work! Your help is needed to create an amazing evening of community and enthusiastic bidding. Come and be a part of this very special event by giving your gifts of time and talent.

There are many ways to participate in the fun. You can: 
•    Attend on Saturday night!
•    Volunteer as a committee member, or help out the evening of the event!
•    Donate an auction item, or two or three or more!
•    Help procure auction items or corporate sponsors!

However you choose to be involved, you’ll be helping to strengthen the Bellarmine community and raise much-need funds for financial aid, and special projects not covered by the annual operating budget, which benefits all Bellarmine students.

Decorations (Jan – March)
Help coordinated with the design team, theme-related
decorations and props to be used in the St. Ignatius Loyola Center. Includes set-up of general decorations,
centerpieces, large scale design for foyer and stage décor.

Procurement (Sept- March)

Work with other procurement team members to approach businesses and individuals to solicit and secure donations for the auction.  Follow procurement deadline instructions and maintain communication with Procurement chair.  This position is flexible in the hours and can be done from home.

Classroom Parent Representative (Nov-March)

Contact Bellarmine parents to remind them and encourage them of the need to participate in the PRIDE auction.  This position can be done by home and requires contacting approx. 20-30 parents via phone.

Merchandising (January – March)
Organize and prepare with a team of volunteers all items for display of one of the Silent auction tables.  The majority of work occurs the Wed-Fri before the event.

Set-Up (Week of the auction)
Transform the Booster Gym into the auction event space by setting up the auction tables, dining tables chairs, pipe and drape etc.
Auction Night Assistants (Night of Auction)
Bid Sheet Runner
Silent Table Judge and Closers
Live auction Spotter
Package auction purchases
Attend mandatory training session prior to auction event.  Will be held week before the event.

Bank (Night of the Auction)
Record auction purchases into the database.  Assist auction attendees with paying for their purchases the night of the auction.  Training session to be coordinated by the Engagement Director.

General Office Work (Sept. – April)

Assist in the PRIDE office with general clerical duties where needed i.e.: stuffing envelopes, invitations etc….

Clean Up (Night of and day after the Auction)
Help clean up the gym and return it to its original state so that the students will have use of the facility Monday morning.

Do you have other special skills such as video production, PowerPoint presentations etc. that will help with the success of PRIDE???  Let us know.
