Textbooks and Books for 2016-17

The primary source for Bellarmine textbooks and other books for the 2016-17 year is MBS Direct. The website to access our books is http://bookstore.mbsdirect.net/bellarmineprep.htm. This is a new retailer for the school. Each family will need to create a new account. Nearly all books – print and digital --are available through MBS Direct – even iBooks!

Required Summer Reading 2016

The Bellarmine English Department requests that during the summer months our students stay active as readers. In light of this, we request that students read each summer. Students, upon their return to school, will be given an exam that will allow them to express their understanding of the summer reading.

Student Schedule and Book List

A list of books needed for next year and your student(s) tentative schedule are mailed to Bellarmine families in early June. These schedules may be altered somewhat as to class period, but the academic course listings should be accurate. The books listed are those that are required for each class for the next school year. The fall book list link is available below -- as well as updates to the list as they may occur over the summer. The book list is also available online here through MBS Direct.

Non-Credit Card Orders

For those who prefer not to use their credit card, either online or over the phone, Bellarmine will set up accounts and you will be billed for the books you order through your Bellarmine tuition account. There is some set-up necessary from Bellarmine if you choose to have your books billed to your tuition account. Please contact Mary Graves at gravesm@bellarmineprep.org to begin this process.

Book List Updates

Due to changes by publishers, occasionally there are updates/changes to the book list sent to students in the spring. Please check back on this webpage for changes and updates as the summer progresses.

Options for Selling Used Books Back

MBS Direct:
Our new retail store offers an online buyback. If you click on the blue button below and then click on "Sell Your Books," it is an easy process to enter ISBNs from a book and determine if the book can be bought back and for how much. MBS will even pay the shipping to send them in.

Half-Price Books
:
This can be a good place to sell your used novels. They have several stores in our state -- the closest to campus being the one near the Tacoma Mall.

Others: There are many other online companies that will buy books if you do a little bit of searching.
