Message from the Principal: Summer and Upcoming School Year Information
Read this important letter from Principal Cindy Davis.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The joy on our students' faces yesterday afternoon was priceless. Our students were able to demonstrate what they learned during finals week, an important conclusion to their academic year. Throughout the year there has been evidence of growth and it has been wonderful to witness our students experience new friendships, grow in their understanding of who they are in this world and to see their place on our campus and in our community. This year will be remembered as the year we fully transitioned from virtual to in-person. While we began our gradual return in the winter of 2021, this year we returned to our full program. We had to learn how to be with one another and how to “show up” as students and employees of a Catholic-Jesuit school. As you may remember we focused on campus norms in our second semester. Today’s letter will focus on readiness for the 2022-23 school year, and our summer programs.
We continue our transition back to “normal” and our understanding and response are important steps to reclaiming what it means to be a Bellarmine Lion.
We will resume our bi-monthly letters in early August
Please continue to use email when communicating with administrators and faculty. School Administrators will be checking emails frequently. Here are email addresses for School Administrators:
Please follow this link to review all summer assignments, including Bellarmine Reads book selection: https://www.bellarmineprep.org/summer-assignments/. The teacher's expectation is that students are ready to submit summer work on the first day of school, and also be prepared to discuss the summer reading selection, The Barren Grounds (Robinson).
Registration is now open for our Academic Readiness Summer Program.

We look forward to seeing all of you on August 25th when we will “kick off” our year as a community. In the meantime, we hope your children, our students, can take a deep breath and focus on the highlights of their year. My hope is that the summer can be a time for reconnecting with loved ones.
