Bellarmine Preparatory School has launched its Second Century Campaign, a three-year fundraising effort to secure $7.5 million in new gifts and pledges toward the endowment and 100 new documented deferred gifts. This support will be added to the school’s $27 million endowment built over decades. It is critical to Bellarmine’s ability to continue to admit the number of students who require tuition assistance today (355, or 40 percent of the student body), and to meet projected increased need by the time the school enters its second century of service to the South Sound region in 2028.

What our Endowment is:

A wonderful way to ensure your legacy of support continues in perpetuity is by making a deferred gift in the form of a provision in your will or by designation of Bellarmine as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or trust. Help us reach our goal of adding 100 new documented future gifts of this kind as part of the Second Century Campaign.

The value of the Endowment as of June 30, 2020 was $27 million. With an annual distribution to the school of more than $1 million, the endowment is a vital component of Bellarmine’s annual revenue. An endowment has been likened to “Mission Insurance” - a stable, secure and growing resource that allows and organization to continue to deliver its mission and weather the difficulties and uncertainties inherent in reliance on recurring annual support. The following are three perspectives on what our endowment truly is and what it means to families, alumni, and benefactors.
