•The 2013 graduating class was awarded over $7.4 million in scholarships and grants from national and international colleges and universities

•Examples of recent student honors: Intel International Science and Engineering Fair Award Winner, U.S. Presidential Scholars Program Semi-Finalist, Washington Scholar, Washington Junior Science and Humanities Symposium Award Winner, City of Destiny Youth Leadership Award, Chairman's Award & NASA Grant for Inspiration and Recognition in Science and Technology (Robotics Club).

•Teachers regularly qualify for national and local honors. Recent examples include Washington Federation of Independent Schools Outstanding Program Director (Marine Chemistry) and Outstanding Administrators (Principal and Athletic Director), a National Endowment for the Arts and Humanities research project and a Gates Foundation Teacher Leadership Award.

Financial Aid

•Bellarmine's endowment fund, which provides ongoing financial aid, is over $18 million

•Financial aid for students, funded mainly by endowment, has grown to over $2.1 million per year

•Thirty-one percent of Bellarmine students receive some sort of financial aid


•Bellarmine fields 43 athletic teams in 18 different sports and has a staff of 58 coaches

•70% of the student body participates in the athletic program, which is widely regarded as one of the most competitive in the state

•In 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 & 2010, 2011 and 2012 Bellarmine was named the All Sport State Champions by The Tacoma News Tribune

•The girls volleyball and girls golf teams earned state championship titles in 2012-13. Football and boys golf placed second in the 4A state championships.

Activities and Service

•Recent music awards include National Music Ensemble, All Northwest and All State Choir members, All State Orchestra and All State Concert

•Drama productions and individual actors/actresses have consistently earned top honors or been nominated for 5th Avenue Theatre awards. In Bellarmine's 2013 production of West Side Story, five students were nominated for awards.


•95% of Bellarmine students has taken at least one community service course by the time they graduate

•Over 25,000 hours of volunteer service are contributed annually by students to the community

 •Students annually collect between 8,000-12,000 pounds of food for the St. Leo's Food Connection

  •Since 1991, Bellarmine has provided food and gifts for about 70 families a year through the Adopt-A-Family program that serves those who do not have resources to celebrate Christmas

•Approximately 90% of the student body participates annually in at least one of Bellarmine's religious retreats sponsored by Campus Ministry

•Bellarmine's goal is to have 100% of its students actively involved in one or more of its 40 school-sponsored clubs.
