Gavin O’Brien is the current Chair for Bellarmine’s Board of Directors. In addition, his leadership was tapped to assist the institution in identifying and seating a new school president. To that end, Gavin served as Chair of the Presidential Search Committee, comprised of a group of dedicated, well-informed school volunteer leaders and staff representatives.

Gavin holds over 40 years of commercial construction experience, including estimating and complex project management, and has served in management, as an owner’s representative and consultant.

Gavin is a dedicated advocate of Bellarmine’s mission of graduating compassionate young men and women who take the message of service to the world around them. Gavin and his wife, Margie, B’79, actively support Bellarmine in a number of ways, in order to further the school’s mission of providing access to an exceptional Jesuit, Catholic-based education. They are past Bellarmine Gala Chairs and long-time Business Partners. In addition, Gavin is a past coach for the Lacrosse program.

Beyond Bellarmine, Gavin supports his community through several organizations, including the Fulcrum Foundation, where he served as the Annual Giving Chair on the Development Committee and member of the Uplift Campaign Committee. Additionally, he was the Parish Chair for the Archdiocese of Seattle’s Those Who Serve Campaign, is involved in fundraising for St. Charles Borromeo Parish, and served as the Vice Chair for the Holy Rosary School Board.
