On September 1, 2022 we blessed the newly installed Stations of the Cross on Bellarmine's campus.
Liam McDaniel B’23 proposed the idea of installing an outdoor Stations of the Cross at Bellarmine for his Eagle Scout project. He worked in close coordination with the school administration and facilities team to identify a site, define the scope of the project, and design the final layout. Liam procured all the funding for the project through donations and community support, and completed the installation himself with assistance from his family, and numerous fellow Scouts and volunteers.
The project was made possible in part by generous support from several members of the Bellarmine community, including the Mauss Family, the McDanial Family, and the Connelly Family. Liam chose to dedicate the Stations of the Cross in memory of Michael Mauss B'97, a graduate who also served many years on the football coaching staff and lived a life exemplifying the values of the Graduate at Graduation.
Visitors to the Stations can access a Stations guide and information on Michael’s life through a welcome plaque at the beginning of the walk.
