As we prepare to welcome students back to campus and begin a new school year grounded in community, purpose, and Ignatian values, our goal is to ensure everyone is informed, aligned, and ready to begin the year with strength and unity—spiritually and academically.
Orientation is required for all students and serves as a key moment in shaping our school culture and climate. This year’s theme, “Be an Active Participant in the Lives of One Another,” invites students to engage meaningfully in our community from day one. Each orientation is thoughtfully designed by grade level to provide relevant information, build connection, and support a strong start to the year.
Please review the schedule carefully to help us create a smooth, intentional, and mission-driven opening to the 2025–2026 school year.
Monday, August 25th: Faculty Inservice/Planning Time Tuesday, August 26th: Freshman Orientation & Picture Day Wednesday, August 27th: Sophomore-Junior-Senior Orientation Orientation is required for all students. Defining our Culture & Climate - Be an Active Participant in the Lives of One Another is the focus of Orientation. The goal of student orientation is to provide our students with relevant information that will support them as they start their year while also strengthening our school climate and culture. Each grade level orientation is designed specifically for that grade level. Students will attend sessions, each designed for 20-40 minutes, that will align with our goal. The sessions include the following: Building class unity Leadership development Role of the counselor and resources available Role of the Academic Center of Excellence - academic support Campus Ministry - Retreats and Service opportunities
Sophomore - Junior - Senior Orientation Schedule: Sophomores: 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. Juniors: 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Seniors: 12:00 - 2:30 p.m.
Students will have the chance to take their school photo (if unable to participate in picture day on August 26th), pick up ASB cards, parking permits (if registered), and request a locker if needed. Campus is available for students to stay the entire day if needed. Please note: Freshman are not in attendance on this day. If you are a new transfer student to Bellarmine, please keep your eyes open for an upcoming communication from the Admissions office about transfer student orientation on Wednesday, August 27.
