Homecoming 2025: Information for Students & Parents

Please review this important information for Bellarmine students and parents about our 2025 Homecoming week.
Bellarmine Students and Parents,

Next week, we are excited to celebrate Homecoming Week at Bellarmine! Our ASB students have planned a full schedule of activities, spirit days, and celebrations that will culminate in the Homecoming Dance: A Night in Miami. Please review the information below to stay informed about all the exciting festivities.

Spirit Days, Assemblies, and Activities
  • Spirit Days: Each day of Homecoming Week has a dress-up theme. Students are encouraged to participate—this is a Bellarmine tradition, and students really do dress up! A detailed schedule of Spirit Days can be found in the linked slideshow: Homecoming Week Slideshow.
  • Daily Activities: From flamingo scavenger hunts to lunchtime Kahoots to before-school donuts, each day includes fun opportunities to connect with the community. A detailed schedule of activities can be found in the linked slideshow: Homecoming Week Slideshow.
  • Formation Periods:
    • Wednesday, Sept. 24: Activity Formation Period. Students can choose from activities across campus such as pickleball, bingo, swing dance lessons, and more.
    • Friday, Sept. 26: Homecoming Assembly & Pep Rally. Students will enjoy performances by the band, choir, and cheer team, play games, and celebrate the announcement of the 2025 Homecoming Court.
Homecoming Dance Information
The Homecoming Dance is our first major dance of the year. Below are answers to frequently asked questions:
  • When: Saturday, Sept. 27 | 8:00–10:30 pm
  • Where: Bellarmine Prep Names Gym
  • Tickets: $20 per person. Tickets can be purchased via ticket link or QR codes around campus. The cost will be billed through FACTS. The purchase deadline is Thursday, Sept. 25.
  • Attire: Semi-formal. Students do not need to dress according to the “Night in Miami” theme.
  • Arrival: Students are required to be in the dance by 9:00 pm. All students must plan their dinner reservations accordingly in order to get to the dance before 9:00 pm.
  • Departure: There is no time limit on when students may leave; however, we encourage students to stay for the entire dance. There are no school-sponsored activities planned after 10:30pm. There is no school-sponsored post-dance function.
  • Guests: Students may bring one guest from another school with a completed Dance Guest Pass Request Form. Forms are available in Student Services and must be returned to the Dean of Students by Wednesday, Sept. 24.
  • IDs: All students (including Bellarmine students) must present a Student ID for entry.
  • Before the Dance: Many students choose to eat dinner beforehand. While some groups go downtown, casual restaurants or parent-hosted dinners at home are often the most fun and least stressful options.
  • Safety: Bellarmine is committed to providing a wholesome and safe environment. All dances are drug- and alcohol-free. Random breathalyzer tests will be administered at the door. Teachers and administrators will serve as chaperones.
  • Other Details:
    • Music is pre-screened for appropriateness.
    • Coat and bag check will be provided at the entrance.
    • The dance is entirely student-driven, with ASB representatives planning the theme, decorations, setup, and cleanup.
