Robotics Place 3rd at Bonney Lake Competition

Bellarmine’s robotics team, FIRST Team 360, The Revolution, delivered an outstanding performance at the 2026 Pacific Northwest District event held March 7–8 at Bonney Lake High School.
Playing this year’s FIRST Robotics Competition game, Rebuilt, the team competed against 33 teams from across the region and finished the qualification rounds ranked 3rd overall with an impressive 9–3 record, demonstrating consistent scoring, effective strategy, and strong alliance collaboration.

In FIRST Robotics Competition events, alliances of three teams compete in fast-paced matches where student-built robots score points by completing game-specific tasks, working cooperatively with partners, and executing strategic end-game actions. Matches include both an autonomous period, where robots operate using pre-programmed instructions, and a driver-controlled period, where student operators guide gameplay in real time. Entering the playoff tournament as captain of the No. 2 alliance, Team 360 partnered with Team 9450 (Woodinville High School) and Team 3393 (Puyallup High School). Together, the alliance advanced through multiple rounds of the double-elimination bracket, ultimately finishing 3rd overall after a series of closely contested matches.

A major highlight of the event came when Team 360 achieved the highest match score of the competition, showcasing the speed, precision, and reliability of their 2026 robot, Rainmaker 26. The team was also honored with the Autonomous Award, recognizing excellence in pre-programmed robot performance during the opening seconds of each match.

Team members and mentors credited the success to months of dedicated design, fabrication, programming, and testing, along with focused drive-team execution throughout the weekend. With one district event remaining, The Revolution is building strong momentum as they continue their pursuit of qualification for the Pacific Northwest District Championship.

The team now looks ahead to its next competition at Auburn High School on March 28–29. Community members, families, alumni, and robotics supporters are encouraged to attend and cheer on Team 360 in action while experiencing the excitement of FIRST Robotics Competition firsthand.
