Meet Coach Oandasan

Sady Oandasan - Girls Flag Football Head Coach

Sady Oandasan is the Head Coach of the Bellarmine Flag Football program and also coaches soccer. He is currently in his fifth year of coaching overall and his third year at Bellarmine, bringing a strong commitment to student-athlete development both on and off the field.

Coach Oandasan believes in developing the whole student-athlete through accountability, effort, and growth. His coaching philosophy emphasizes preparation, fundamentals, and a team-first mindset, with the goal of building confidence, discipline, and lifelong habits in a supportive yet challenging environment. He strives to create a culture where student-athletes are pushed to grow while feeling supported as individuals.

Coach Oandasan coaches at Bellarmine because of the school’s commitment to excellence, character, and community, values that closely align with his own approach to coaching and leadership. He is proud to help student-athletes grow not only in their sport, but also as people who are held to high standards both on and off the field.

Beyond wins and losses, Coach Oandasan hopes student-athletes leave the program with confidence, strong character, and clarity about who they are. He believes that when those foundations are in place, competitive success naturally follows, and that the true measure of success is preparing young people to compete in life, not just in sports.

Originally from Hilo, Hawaiʻi, Coach Oandasan is a retired U.S. Army veteran who has been involved in sports throughout his life as both a player and a coach. His experience includes coaching youth flag football, soccer, and boxing. Outside of coaching, he enjoys staying active, working with youth, and giving back to the community through sport.
