Willie London serves as Bellarmine Preparatory School’s Head Fastpitch Coach and brings more than 30 years of coaching experience to the program. He is in his second year leading the Lions. Coach London holds a degree in Health Science from Excelsior University and has previously coached at Rogers High School and Seattle Academy as an assistant coach.
Coach London’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that athletes grow best in an environment built on positivity, trust, and consistent encouragement. He is committed to developing players not only as competitors, but as confident and resilient individuals. Through positive coaching, he reinforces effort, teaches through mistakes, and celebrates progress and teamwork. He believes every athlete has unique strengths and sees it as his responsibility to help them discover and develop those strengths through constructive feedback, clear communication, and genuine support. He models discipline, respect, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
At Bellarmine, Coach London is motivated by the school’s commitment to forming the whole student in mind, body, and spirit. He values the community’s emphasis on integrity, character, teamwork, and compassion. He sees coaching as an opportunity to help young people discover their strengths, build confidence, and carry important life lessons beyond the field.
Beyond the scoreboard, Coach London wants student athletes to leave the program with confidence, character, and a deeper understanding of who they are becoming. He strives to create an environment where athletes learn to lead, persevere through challenges, and support one another. His hope is that players carry with them the lessons of discipline, accountability, teamwork, and integrity long after their playing days are over.
Originally from a small rural town in Louisiana, Coach London understands firsthand how athletics can provide purpose and opportunity. His experiences shaped his belief in hard work, resilience, and community. Outside of coaching, he enjoys investing in student development and being part of a community that values growth, leadership, and positive impact.
