At Bellarmine, we have implemented a comprehensive sustainability and nature program that revolves around experiential learning. By integrating environmental topics into our curriculum, we strive to instill a profound understanding and appreciation for nature among our students. Through hands-on experiences like outdoor gardening projects, wildlife observation, and greenhouse management, students are encouraged to connect with the natural world firsthand. Additionally, we foster active participation in eco-friendly initiatives, such as recycling campaigns, composting as well as water and energy-saving practices, to empower our students to become environmental advocates in their communities. This program not only equips our students with valuable knowledge but also cultivates a sense of responsibility towards our planet, ensuring a brighter, greener future while caring for our common home!

We are fundraising for a multitude of different projects: there is something for everybody! Our Kateri Garden needs ongoing maintenance and a complete irrigation system. We want to bring a new mushroom fungi inoculation project as well as keep providing the tradition of our Senior Tree Planting. We want to boost our vegetable planting and create a sustainable relationship with the food bank. We are actively creating a Pollinator Pathway where bats and monarch butterflies can depend on our biodiversity for food and breeding. Lastly, we are in an ongoing battle the invasive species on campus, replacing them ferns and plants.
