Having graduated from Bellarmine in 2001, Alex is very familiar with the Lions football program.  During his time at Bellarmine, Alex was a 3-year starter for the Lions football team and was a Captain during his senior year.  Alex was honored to be recognized as an All-League player for three consecutive years, with additional credits including: an All-League Defensive MVP, All-Area team, All- State and East vs West Allstar Game Defensive MVP (his Senior Year).  Although Alex had a number of scholarship offers, his lifelong dream was to play for the University of Washington as a member of the Huskies football team.  Alex joined the UW, and their football program, as a preferred walk-on in 2001.  After graduating from the University of Washington, Alex married his wife, Jaime B’98 and fellow UW Husky, and moved back to Tacoma where they started their construction company. Alex and Jaime have two children: Gunnar B’28 and Vivi (future B’31). Alex had coached football at the high school level (BP Lions 2009-2011) before moving onto coaching his children in youth sports for the last 11 years, where he was most recently involved with the Little Lions Youth Football Program (2020-2023). Alex and Jaime own and operate several companies here in Tacoma, serve on multiple non-profit boards, and Alex is an acting board commissioner here at Bellarmine.
