As we begin a new school year grounded in our Catholic, Jesuit mission and inspired by a tradition of excellence, we also take time to reflect on the remarkable leadership that has shaped Bellarmine throughout the years. Few have influenced our community as profoundly as our Principal, Cindy Davis, whose dedication to our students, faculty and families has spanned more than four decades.
After over 40 years of service, Principal Davis has shared that she will retire at the conclusion of the 2025–26 school year in June 2026. Her steadfast commitment to faith formation, academic excellence, and service has touched countless lives and will leave a lasting legacy for generations of Lions to come.
Throughout her tenure, Principal Davis has shaped nearly every facet of our community. She began her career as a Health, Science and P.E. teacher, inspiring students with her passion for learning and her care for the whole person. As the Activities Director and ASB Advisor, she nurtured leadership and school spirit. As a coach, she instilled teamwork, discipline and perseverance. Later, as Dean of Students, she guided young people through challenges and triumphs with compassion, reconciliation and discipline. For nearly 12 years, she has led Bellarmine as principal with vision and courage—transforming our school while deepening the Jesuit values at the heart of our mission.
As we prepare to celebrate Principal Davis and her extraordinary career, we also look ahead. Bellarmine will soon begin the search for our next principal with the support of Partners in Mission Search Solutions, a nationally recognized firm specializing in Catholic school leadership transitions. This process will ensure input from faculty, staff, students, families, alumni, benefactors and friends of Bellarmine. Further information and ongoing updates on the principal search can be found at
bellarmineprep.org/principal-search. Our next principal will continue to uphold our Jesuit values and mission while guiding us into a vibrant future.
For now, we give deep thanks for Principal Davis—her faith, leadership, and extraordinary dedication to Bellarmine. We are committed to making this year a focused and joy-filled one, anchored in consistency and strength.
